2016 Parker Vegas will take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV, January 14-16th, 2016.

Parker Seminars strives to unite passion and practice in order to capture the power of chiropractic success and communicate it to the world via chiropractic seminars.

F4CP Presentation at Parker Vegas

The F4CP is ready to kick-off another successful year at 2016 Parker Vegas.

On January 15th, 2:00-3:30pm, F4CP EVP, Dr. Sherry McAllister, will deliver a presentation entitled: "Chin Up! Avoiding Tech Neck: Averting Biomechanical Dysfunction from the Use of Mobile Technologies."

Doctors of chiropractic are positioned to be leaders in postural care as smartphones, tablets, and other personal technologies continue to have an increasing importance in our lives. More and more individuals are seeking care for neck and back pain as a result of mobile device utilization, and the F4CP plans to address this topic as a major initiative in 2016.

Rand Report: Complementary and Alternative Medicine

A new research project has surfaced aiming to communicate an issue that the complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) professions face: being defined by their treatment modalities, rather than by their professional scopes.

The report, entitled: "Complementary and Alternative Medicine: Professions or Modalities?" touches on three main components, including:

  1. Development of a background paper on the policy issues associated within the scope of practice and utilization of CAM practitioners in the health care system
  2. Input from a panel of CAM experts
  3. Input from a panel of health care policy decision makers

CDC Proposes Federal Prescribing Guidelines

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has made a bold effort to implement new federal prescribing guidelines, which recommend utilization of conservative care prior to prescription drugs, and reduce the number of deaths associated with the misuse and abuse of prescription opioid painkillers.

Amid pushback from pharmaceutical companies, industry-funded groups and a number of health officials, the F4CP endorses the initiative and encourages the public to consider utilization of drug-free, non-invasive alternatives, including chiropractic care, as a frontline option for pain management.
