F4CP Resources Address Gallup Poll Findings

In response to the recently released report, "Gallup-Palmer College of Chiropractic Inaugural Report: Americans' Perceptions of Chiropractic," the F4CP is working to address important issues around the public's perception of chiropractic care, including the education of a DC, uncertainty on the safety and cost of chiropractic, and most importantly the "trust gap."

The F4CP plans to implement new, innovative campaigns that continue to inform the public about the high-quality, cost-effective care provided by a doctor of chiropractic, and reaffirm the message that care provided by a DC is not only safe and affordable, but also covered by most insurance plans.

Moving forward, all F4CP resources will educate the public on the education of a DC, as well as the safety and cost of chiropractic care. The public CAN trust their chiropractor to address their health concerns. The Gallup-Palmer survey found that most Americans thought the education of a DC to be at best two years. The F4CP will continue to set the record straight that the education of a DC is a minimum of 7 years.

The F4CP's recent advertorial, "More Americans Choose Chiropractic Care: Gallup," highlights the conclusions of the Gallup poll and can be seen below.

The F4CP is developing a brand-new ad campaign which features Medal of Honor (MoH) recipients emphasizing the trust they have in their doctor of chiropractic.

The F4CP would like to express sincere appreciation to Dr. Tim Novelli, founder and president of The Patriot Project, for his integral involvement in the development of the campaign. Dr. Novelli has recruited five MoH recipients to participate in the ground-breaking series and speak positively on behalf of the chiropractic profession.

The Patriot Project is a grass roots movement to provide chiropractic care to all Active Military, their Families, Wounded Warriors & All Gold Star Dependents. F4CP Appoints Dr. Sherry McAllister as Interim EVP

MKThe F4CP has recently appointed Dr. Sherry McAllister to serve as its interim executive vice president, replacing Kristine Dowell, who announced her resignation earlier this month. Dowell will continue to support the work of the F4CP as a volunteer.

Doctor Spotlight of the Month – Dr. Mike Flynn

MKThis month, the F4CP spotlights Dr. Mike Flynn for his unwavering support and dedication to the F4CP and chiropractic profession.

Since 2005, Dr. Flynn has been contributing $50 per month to the F4CP. To date, Dr. Flynn has donated more than $7,200 to the F4CP, which has greatly influenced the organization's ability to generate promotional materials -- including press releases, advertisements, print advertorials, television/radio public service announcements and sponsored research -- and further inform the public about the benefits of chiropractic care. His wife, Darlene is also a $25 a month contributor.

In addition to running a practice in Houma, LA, Dr. Flynn serves as an active F4CP Executive Committee and Board Member.

I firmly believe that by the end of this decade the doctor of chiropractic will be regarded as among the most respected in the healing arts. F4CP Celebrates National Chiropractic Health Month

This month, the F4CP celebrates National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM), an annual nationwide awareness campaign initiated by the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) that aims to educate the public about the role of chiropractic in health care. The F4CP will support the month-long campaign through the distribution of educational material, such as press releases, print advertorials, public service announcements and advertisements.

Each year, NCHM embraces a new theme to highlight the benefits associated with and conditions aided by chiropractic care. This year's theme, #PainFreeNation, calls attention to the public health crisis caused by pain, and in particular the overuse of prescription painkillers.

In honor of NCHM, the F4CP would like to share several of its own resources emphasizing the valuable, SAFE and effective role of chiropractic care for pain relief:

Athletic TIPS™ Campaign is Rolling

Following the launch of Athletic TIPS™, Dr. Mark Mandell, executive director, Parker Professional Services, invited Dr. Sherry McAllister to join his podcast and discuss the organization with his listeners.

During the show, "Hard Hitting Athletic TIPS™ with Dr. Sherry McAllister," Dr. McAllister informed listeners of the mission of Athletic TIPS™, www.tips4sports.org, and the rollout of its FREE Athletic TIPS™ Community Workshops nationwide, which serve to educate amateur athletes, their parents, coaches and educators on four key areas:

  • Concussion recognition and prevention
  • Nutrition in sports management
  • Recognizing, managing and preventing musculoskeletal injuries
  • Preventing dehydration and heat-related conditions

To further promote the program, Athletic TIPS™ has implanted a strategic media campaign, which includes the distribution of several press releases, advertisements and advertorials, as well as focused campaigns on social media.

Florence Fund

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of F4CP Representative Laura Carabello's beloved mother, Florence, on September 22nd, 2015 at the age of 94.
