Brand New Champion Ad Features General Becky Halstead

DID YOU KNOW as an F4CP contributor, you are able to utilize and personalize all marketing material at no additional cost? Just recently, the F4CP updated one of its champion ads to better serve supporting doctors. The new ad replaces the photo of the champion's chiropractor with a blank box ideal for placement of an individual's contact information. The first ad to be updated with this fresh format is one that features Brigadier General Becky Halstead (ret.). Please find the new ad below, as well as an example of what it will appear as once personalized.

F4CP Appears at FIVE Major Chiropractic Conventions

During the last week of September and first week of October, the F4CP attended, presented and exhibited at five prominent meetings. Please find additional details about each meeting below.

  • ACA Sports Council Symposium: Lauren Kennedy attended, exhibited and presented the Athletic TIPS video to the symposium, which occurred September 27-29. Leadership of the Sports Council were impressed with the program and made the decision to partner with the F4CP in an effort to further develop and promote Athletic TIPS. In addition to receiving positive feedback, several opportunities for new champion ads were presented. As new ads are developed, the F4CP will share them online and in its promotions.
  • Michigan Association of Chiropractors Fall Convention: During the opening session of the MAC Fall Convention, all 600 attendees had a chance to view F4CP public service announcements (which aired as they entered), as well as listen to the positive chiropractic experience of F4CP spokesperson, Linda Cohn, recognized sportscaster. Following the 30-minute presentation, attendees were able to take photos with Ms. Cohn and visit the F4CP booth, manned by Lauren Kennedy. The F4CP would like to extend a special thanks to the MAC executive director, Kris Dowell, and her staff who offered significant support throughout the weekend.
  • Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association Fall Convention: Sponsored by the F4CP, Dr. Gerry Clum presented information about the F4CP and its employer outreach program to the association's attendees. Dr. Clum was joined at the event by Dr. Jay Greenstein, an F4CP supporter, who helped promote the activities of the F4CP throughout the weekend. Special thanks to executive director, Julie Warner Conner, and the UVCA staff who manned the F4CP booth.
  • Ohio State Chiropractic Association Annual Convention: Special thanks to F4CP emissary, Dr. Jeff Fedorka, who served as the F4CP representative at the OSCA event. During the three-day event, Dr. Fedorka helped to man the F4CP booth, presented to the OSCA Board of Directors and promoted F4CP membership. In addition to Dr. Fedorka's efforts, OSCA played the F4CP public service announcements several times throughout the weekend.
  • Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association Annual Convention: Gary Cuneo joined F4CP emissary, Dr. Louis D'Amico, and his wife at the recent PCA event in Pittsburg, PA. The D'Amico's were particularly helpful. Not only did they purchase four tickets to an upcoming professional hockey game, which were raffled off to new F4CP contributors, but also manned the booth the entire weekend. Dr. D'Amico was also granted an opportunity to present to the PCA Board of Directors, which was very well received. Please see below a photo of the PCA President presenting Dr. D'Amico with a donation to the F4CP.

F4CP Prepares for Parker Seminars 2014

Get excited! Although planning is still underway for next year's Parker Seminars, scheduled January 9-11, 2014, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the F4CP is pleased to share some of its scheduled activities. Please find more details below.

  • Dillard's Boutique: The F4CP and Dillard's will provide the ultimate "VIP" experience to attendees with an on-site boutique that will offer an assortment of retail items for purchase, as well as professional styling and beauty consultations. Throughout the weekend, boutique visitors will have numerous opportunities to participate in promotional activities and win prizes, such as a shopping spree. The near-by Dillard's store at Fashion Show Mall will also contribute to the experience by hosting bonus in-store activities.
  • All-Star General Session: Scheduled to present on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at 2:30-4PM, the F4CP will captivate its audience with the theme: "The Catch!"

During the first 60 minutes, the greatest CATCH in F4CP history will unfold: a one-hour TIPS Teaser (seminar) will be led by an NFL team doctor. This teaser will provide an overview of Athletic TIPS, discuss the opportunity for doctors of chiropractic to become TIPS-certified to conduct community workshops nationwide and provide attendees with information on how to present locally on concussion recognition and management. TIPS seminars are scheduled to occur several times in 2014 and will run eight-hours. Those in attendance of the TIPS Teaser will receive a 15 percent savings on certification.

Following the TIPS Teaser, attendees will have a Super Bowl experience with Dwight Clark, the San Francisco 49er credited with one of the greatest CATCHES in the NFL. Clark, now a sports broadcaster, has a unique place in football history - and he is a chiropractic patient and advocates for the profession.

Through the activities of the F4CP, attendees can expect to learn techniques to build personal and professional success. Additionally, F4CP spokesperson, General Becky Halstead (ret.), will release her new book which mentions the value of chiropractic care. Experts Offer Practice Management Tips

As promised, the F4CP will begin to include a special section that highlights practice management tips provided by experts on the F4CP Board and within the chiropractic profession. The F4CP trusts these tips will be helpful for the development and improvement of practices. This month's tips are provided from F4CP board member, Dr. Mickey Burt, executive director for alumni, Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Mickey "Over the years, I have found that developing a referral relationship with other healthcare practitioners is as easy as a meet and greet luncheon, as a first step. Following that, plan to make your second meeting a visit to their office, and third a meeting at your office. Once you've done all of that, you can then start the process of periodically sending them articles of interest with a chiropractic connection. You'll be surprised how open they'll be in learning more chiropractic, and what you do."

"Whenever talking to someone about chiropractic, I love to talk about the benefits of regular chiropractic care. The study I refer to many times is the AMI study by Dr. Richard Sarnat, MD. This study is published in poster format by the F4CP, and I hang it in my office. It states that those who go to chiropractors have 60 percent fewer hospital visits, 58 percent fewer days spent in the hospital, 62 percent fewer outpatient procedures and 85 percent lower pharmaceutical costs. It's impressive, and resonates well with my patients. Thank you F4CP for giving me the tools I need to educate my patients."

Focus Groups to Determine Direction of New Ads

The F4CP will develop a new set of advertisements that target particular conditions that may prompt a visit to a doctor of chiropractic by a prospective patient, as well as elements of the Identity Statement released by Palmer College of Chiropractic. The production of these ads was initiated after several F4CP members requested more ads with an aim to encourage consumers to visit a chiropractic office. Prior to selecting the final ads, several focus groups will be arranged this month on the east and west coast.

Once all focus groups have met, the F4CP will analyze the results and determine which ads are most effective. The results will be shared at the next Summit meeting, scheduled for November 7, 2013. The F4CP will feature the final set of ads online at: www.F4CP.com and in future newsletters. For questions, please contact Kristen Arthurs at: Kristen@Foundation4cp.com.
