FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COCSA and Chiropractic Summit Support F4CP Campaign: Save Lives. Stop Opioid Abuse. Choose Chiropractic.

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ – December 07, 2016 – The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), the voice of the chiropractic profession, is pleased to announce that Congress of Chiropractic State Associations (COCSA) and the Chiropractic Summit enthusiastically support its campaign: Save Lives. Stop Opioid Abuse. Choose Chiropractic. With the validation of the profession’s leading organizations and many others, the campaign positions chiropractic care as the first option for safe, effective and drug-free pain management.

This nationwide campaign provides the necessary resources to educate the public about the dangers of opioid misuse and abuse and the benefits of chiropractic care as an alternative,” shares Amy Hardin, executive director, COCSA - an organization comprised of more than 50 State Association members which provides an open, nonpartisan forum for the advancement of the chiropractic profession. “COCSA is honored to endorse this campaign, and its members will actively circulate campaign resources, including those in ‘Opioid Toolkit 1.0,’ to emphasize safer pain management solutions, including chiropractic.”

The F4CP is asking 5,000 doctors of chiropractic (DCs) to contribute $200 each to support campaign initiatives, which span media and advertising, marketing, public relations, digital promotions and more. Additional contributions above $200 can be made honoring spouses children, assistant(s), significant others and/or deceased family members. To donate click here.

We are proud to offer our support to this campaign - the perfect opportunity for the chiropractic profession to come together and present the public with facts about the safety and clinical efficacy of chiropractic care,” shares Norman Ouzts, DC, chairman, Chiropractic Summit, which represents leadership from education, research, regulatory bodies, political action, practice management, chiropractic media and national associations. “The opioid abuse campaign has the potential to change the way pain is managed in the U.S.”

Campaign Chairman Joe Carabello states, “With other health care professions weighing in on this unfortunate epidemic – which is responsible for claiming the lives of thousands of individuals nationwide – it is gratifying to see members of the chiropractic profession unite in an effort to engage and inform the public about the benefits of drug-free chiropractic care. We are sincerely grateful to COCSA and the Chiropractic Summit for recognizing the value of this campaign and the urgency behind its message. We look forward to developing resources that leave a lasting impact on the future of health care - to put it simply: SAVE LIVES. STOP OPIOID ABUSE. CHOOSE CHIROPRACTIC.
